Dr. Diyaa Ashour
Lead Scientist
Dr. Diyaa Ashour is a lead scientist at BioCompiler and a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University Hospital, Würzburg, Germany. With a PhD in Immunology from Universität Würzburg and a Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University, Dr. Ashour brings extensive expertise to the team. He has over seven years of experience in single-cell RNA sequencing analysis and is an expert in investigating immunological repertoires through this cutting-edge technology. A prolific researcher with 15 publications, Dr. Ashour’s work demonstrates his dedication to advancing immunology and bioinformatics. His precision, innovation, and deep knowledge make him a vital contributor to BioCompiler’s mission of delivering exceptional data analysis solutions.
Dr. med. Mohamed Sarhan
Lead scientist
Dr. med. Mohamed Sarhan, an accomplished medical professional and researcher, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Mansoura University and possesses extensive expertise in biostatistical and clinical data analysis.
Currently pursuing his PhD in molecular biology, Dr. Sarhan has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing scientific research. He holds dual Master’s degrees: one in Biochemistry from Egypt and another in Biology from Würzburg, Germany. His robust academic foundation is complemented by a diverse research portfolio, encompassing advanced molecular techniques such as PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, flow cytometry, and image analysis.
Dr. Sarhan is also skilled in working with animal models, particularly mice, and excels in data analysis using Python and R. His multidisciplinary expertise, coupled with a passion for innovation in science, positions him as a highly valuable contributor to any research team.
Dr. Ali Kishk
Lead bioinformatician
Dr. Ali Kishk, a key member of the BioCompiler team, holds a Ph.D. in Systems Biology from the University of Luxembourg, a Master’s in Information & Communication from Nile University, and a B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. With over seven years of experience, he specializes in drug repurposing, metabolic modeling, and 16S rRNA data analysis, focusing on building translational models for disease classification, biomarker prediction, and drug repurposing.
Dr. Kishk has contributed to impactful research on brain cancer, melanoma, COVID-19, and neurodegeneration, authoring 5 papers and co-authoring 12 more. His expertise in metabolic modeling and deep learning enhances BioCompiler’s mission to deliver cutting-edge bioinformatics solutions, making him an invaluable asset to the team.
Dr. Abdelrahman Sawalma
Lead bioinformatician
Dr. Abdelrahman Sawalma is a physician-scientist with a PhD in Neuroimaging and Machine Learning from Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany, and an M.D. and Master’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Al-Quds University, Palestine. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at University Hospital Würzburg, specializing in clinical data analysis using machine learning and statistical methods. His expertise spans MEG/EEG signal processing, neuroscience lab techniques, and programming in Python, R, SPSS, and SAS. He has published in Frontiers in Neuroscience, presented at international conferences, and delivered lectures in machine learning. Fluent in Arabic, English, and German (B2), he is also an active science communicator and translator in neuroscience outreach initiatives.
